Tuesday Tips: Picking the Perfect Bridal Bouquet
Hi lovely brides! We know that choosing the right flower arrangement can get a little tricky. But don’t worry. For today’s #TuesdayTips, we’re back with a few things to consider when picking the perfect bridal bouquet on your big day. So here are 5 things you need to consider before choosing your bridal bouquet:
1. Consider your wedding gown
Before you go straight to bouquet hunting, look at your wedding gown first. If your dress already has plenty of frills, and frontal details, then your bouquet can’t be big on wild flower arrangements. Your wedding gown can’t clash with your bouquet. If your wedding gown has plenty of embellishment, don’t let your bouquet cover it. Conversely, a simple gown would look lovely with a big floral arrangement.
2. Size and shape
Bouquets come in all shapes and sizes! So if you’re going to walk down that aisle, make sure your bouquet complements your body shape. A cascading bouquet would highlight your body if you’re a tall bride. And if you’re petite, a posy bouquet would definitely bring out your charms more.
3. Know your flowers
If you’re into symbolism, you would know that flowers have different meanings. And you might want to choose flowers with the meaning you want to convey the most. For example, white carnations signify pure love, and daffodils mean new beginnings. While each flower has a meaning of its own, don’t get too caught up in this. After all, guests won’t come up to you and ask you what your bouquet actually means.
4. Your wedding theme
It’s important to keep in mind what your wedding theme is when choosing your bouquet. This helps specially in deciding which colors to go with – the colors that will dominate the whole event. Don’t you want your bouquet to be cohesive with the setup?
5. Your style and personality
At the end of the day, you will be the one who will be holding the bouquet. So it’s up to you and what you really like. What you think will look best for you. You will get to decide what you want to see during your wedding day. So make sure to choose something that you’d want to keep in your memory to cherish forever.
